We hope to see all of the local Rotarians and their families at our Spaghetti Dinner this Friday, October 29th at the Graham Civic Center.  We will be serving spaghetti, Italian bread, salad, beverage, and dessert from 5–8:30pm. There is a nice picnic area and a new playground in the back, so bring the family and relax over spaghetti and good fellowship. Eat in or take out. $5 minimum donation.

The speaker for Thursday will be Scott Yakola, of Duke University.  Scott is Professor of Sports Marketing and Finance and the Chair of the Department of Health, Wellness and Physical Education.  He is also the Director of the Duke Athletics Leadership Program.  It should be an interesting program and we hope to see all of you there.

We welcome anyone from area Rotary Clubs wanting to do a make-up meeting.  The Graham Rotary Club meets Thursdays at 12:30pm at the Graham Civic Center.  Directions to our meeting location are available by clicking “Meetings” under the banner above.

Thanks,

Graham Monster Dash — Graham’s 5k and 10k races.  Please forward to anyone that might be interested in sponsoring both of the races.  Lets make it a success by filling all of our sponsor slots!

Pork Shoulder Sale

A shoulder cooking on our grills

The Rotary Club of Graham is selling pork shoulders to help fund our service projects for this year. The shoulders cook down to about 12 pounds on the bone and come with a pint of the most delicious sauce you will ever taste. The shoulders are $40 each.

If you would like to purchase one or more, please email; the available shoulders are going fast since we only have space to cook 160. They will be ready for pickup on Saturday, November 13, 2010, from 7 to 9am.

A Video and a Bulletin

It is shoulder sale time!  For those that have not yet tried Greg’s labor of love, now is the time to reserve your personal shoulder. For $40 you receive a hefty, 11-12 pound pork shoulder, with yummy sauce.  These are carefully tended on the grill overnight by Greg Scott, Hunt Johnson, and their team of grill watchers. If you would like to get a shoulder, email the club.

For Rotarians looking to do a make-up, we meet Thursdays from 12:30-1:30 at the Graham Civic Center.  A map to the Civic Center hall is right here.
