Mercy Ships – Kossin

The Rotary Club of Graham began supporting Mercy Ships last year. They’re on our international service project list again this year. The video below illustrates why we and several other clubs in District 7690 feel Mercy Ships is a great project..

In West Africa, Mercy Ships surgeons witness thousands of patients with benign tumors like Kossin’s—tumors that are slowly restricting their airways and ultimately leading them to a very painful death. In countries like Togo, most people live on less than $2 per day, making it nearly impossible for them to receive the quality care they so desperately need. But Hope has come to West Africa in the form of a big white hospital ship named the Africa Mercy. This is Kossin’s story.
